Join our Advisory Committee
Thank you for your interest in the Magellan Healthcare of Idaho Member and Family Advisory Committee (MFAC).
The MFAC is comprised of people who have personal or family lived experience with mental health and/or substance use services in Idaho. Committee members provide feedback and guidance to support a seamless transition to the new system of care in Idaho, known as the Idaho Behavioral Health Plan (IBHP), and ongoing feedback on the IBHP. Committee members participate by:
- Providing input based on their lived expertise and experiences in the system of care
- Identifying opportunities and priorities for program development and improvement
- Identifying innovative approaches that benefit IBHP members and families
- Reviewing and providing input on member materials
- Assisting in the development of policies to assure responsiveness to member needs
Members of the MFAC will provide ongoing guidance to Magellan on what’s needed for the system. This virtual committee will meet monthly by Zoom on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. MT/12:00 p.m. PT.
The MFAC includes people with diverse lived experiences, and every effort is made to have people from across the state. Applications are required, and committee members should have lived experience with mental health, substance use or crisis services currently provided by the Idaho Division of Behavioral Health (DBH), the Idaho Division of Medicaid, Optum, Telligen, or BPA Health, including:
- Intensive care coordination (ICC)
- Assertive community treatment (ACT)

- Wraparound services
- Coordinated specialty care for early serious mental illness (ESMI)
- Home with adult residential treatment (HART)
- Parenting with Love and Limits (PLL)

Members will be paid $75 for participating in each meeting. You must attend at least 75% of each meeting and fully participate. You will receive your payment 30 days after we receive documentation of your attendance.
